The primary purpose of this position (Specialist Knowledge Management) is to oversee all knowledge-related activities, including the management, capturing, sharing and accessibility of knowledge assets. To support ATNS in developing a management system that effectively promotes and enables value-creation through knowledge. To provide the infrastructure to capture critical organizations knowledge and ensure that knowledge is safeguarded and available for insights and decision-making. Encouraging a culture of knowledge-sharing and collaborative workflow among departments and project teams
Job description

Knowledge Management: To develop and oversee the implementation of a Knowledge Management strategy and execution plan. Manage the organization-wide (ATNS) knowledge initiatives and activities: Develop, implement and oversee the implementation of the Knowledge Management Policy, Develop, implement and oversee the implementation of the Knowledge Management Procedure, Develop and implement the Knowledge Management Tools in line with the knowledge management lifecycle (create, capture and acquire, organize, store, access, search, disseminate, use, discover, share and learn). Establishing and maintaining the Knowledge Management databases, infrastructure and software supporting Knowledge Management services and activities. Communicate with the business and educate business stakeholders about Knowledge Management. Develop and maintain a relevant Knowledge Management Toolset to meet the organization’s knowledge needs (Lessons Learned, Knowledge Café, Brown Bags, Knowledge Interviews, Subject Matter Expert Locator and Retiree Program). Identify / Quantify the business benefits of Information and Knowledge Management in line with ISO 30401:2018 Knowledge management systems. Assess and manage the Knowledge Management Risks. Develop and implement the Knowledge Management maturity model

Project Management: Management of all ATNS (org-wide) Knowledge Management function and related Projects. Develop the Knowledge Management Business Case. Define the Knowledge Management Specifications. Ensure that the Knowledge Management Project is implemented

Finance: Ensure that the Records Management budget is executed and spent as planned in consultation with the Head of Knowledge Management. Ensure all supplier’s contracts align with the ATNS Supply Chain Management policy and processes. Ensure Knowledge Management payments of all purchases/invoices are aligned with ATNS Supply Chain Management policy and processes. Report on the expenditure of the Records Management function

Change Management: Engage with business to define knowledge management requirements. Develop training material and conduct training and awareness on all Knowledge Management functions to all ATNS employees: Knowledge management policy, Knowledge management procedures, Knowledge Toolset. Engage with all ATNS staff and create awareness of proper, efficient and effective Knowledge Management Functions. Attend to Knowledge Management related inquiries and requests for information from both internal and external. Represent ATNS at SABS Knowledge Management Standard Committee, Knowledge Management Professional Association. Maintain a healthy relationship with all Knowledge Management stakeholders (suppliers, ATNS employees, external government, and private organizations).

 

Formal Qualification and Experience

·       B. Degree in Information and Knowledge Management

·       5 to 7 years prior experience

Minimum requirements

Bachelor Degree in Information and Knowledge Management
