Applications are invited for the position of Principal ATSO (Peromnes 10), based at FACT. The successful applicants will be reporting to Pool Manager: ATSO FACT.
Job description
Major Activities
- Complying with the QMS(ISO)
- Planning and monitoring adherence to the standards maintenance program
- Maintaining standards checks and performance monitoring, recording, and reporting all exceptions, to ensure all ATSO’s meet the requirements as stipulated in regulations
- Monitoring and ensuring all medicals and proficiency assessments are current and in line with CAA regulations
- Conducting reviews and incident investigations as required
- Performing staff counselling and monitor compliance
- Managing discipline in the work place
- Implementing operational procedures
- Managing inter-unit relationships thus ensuring effective teamwork
- Managing adherence to published procedures
- Ensuring decisions are implemented
- Conducting audits. (QMS & SA)
- Coaching peers and subordinates
- Assisting with SAR requirements
- Optimising the workplace environment
- Efficient air traffic service assistance and support to ATCO and Technical division
- Training and providing OJTI's
- Ensuring correct training methodology is used
- Compiling and maintaining training documentation
- Conducting bi-annual assessments
- Correcting and counselling ATSO’s who fail to meet standards
- Planning, publishing and monitoring compliance of the shift schedules
- Directing and controlling the task execution of the units and staff reporting to him/her and conducting regular inspections and audits to ensure that the ATS is being rendered in accordance
Minimum requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- A valid ATSO license with Clearance Delivery or FIS
- OJTI Qualification
Minimum Experience
- 2 years’ ATSO experience
