Head Knowledge Management aims to provide strategic leadership, planning and management for Knowledge Management, Records Management and Information Resources functions in the organizations.
Job description

Knowledge Management- Identify Knowledge Management initiatives, programs and activities in alignment with business requirements and strategic objectives.  Design and implement a Knowledge Management strategy and implementation plan – creating a comprehensive Knowledge Management strategy in line with the Business Services division – organization’s strategy. Design, develop and implement Knowledge Management repositories that enable all employees to have access to information and knowledge. Take overall responsibility for the Knowledge Management toolset by determining related technology and tools needed for Knowledge Management and the implementation thereof. Responsible for embedding and sustaining a business culture that creates, shares and leverages strategic information and knowledge assets to support decision-making.

• Manage Human Resource planning, development and performance, as well as timely execution of Knowledge Management functions: Knowledge Management function, Records Management function, Information Resources function, ensure that all Knowledge Management functions submit plans and monthly reports for approval – to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of IKM in the organization. Participate in strategy design, formulation, implementation, and review of ATNS Business Services.

 

Project Management - Develop, review and approve Knowledge Management business cases, specifications and related documents. Management of all ATNS (organisation-wide) Knowledge Management departments and related Projects. Ensure that the Knowledge Management Projects are implemented.

 Governance - Ensure governance and compliance of all Knowledge Management policies and procedures are developed. Policies and procedures that govern compliance on the creation, storage, accessing and dissemination of information and knowledge in the organization. Define the governance model for Knowledge Management, ensuring access to data, information and knowledge.

 Financial Management - Develop and manage Knowledge Management Opex budget – in line with the Business Services division – Org strategy. Develop and manage Knowledge Management Capex budget - in line with the Business Services division – Org strategy. Monitor the spending of both Opex and Capex Budget.

 People Management- Performance Management. Develop the Knowledge Management team’s performance contract through the Performance Management system (Performance management cycle). Approve the Knowledge Management team’s performance. Review and evaluate the Knowledge Management team’s contracts performance. Development Plans (IDP). Develop, manage and approve the Knowledge Management.

 Stakeholder Management - Develop Knowledge Management products and services catalog.  Develop, approve and monitor IKM services and product training plans rolled out org-wide (including training manuals and materials). Monitor stakeholder product and service standards that are established and met. Create internal and external opportunities to foster information and knowledge sharing. Monthly analyze each function’s statistics to ensure usage and impact of Knowledge Management deliverables. Create awareness regarding Information and Knowledge Management initiatives. Participate with strategic stakeholders, associates, and partners and maintain professional, effective, amicable relationships to uphold ATNS’s interests

Minimum requirements

 Formal Qualifications:

  •  Relevant Post Graduate degree in Information and Knowledge Management or related field
  • Masters in a related discipline will be an advantage.

 Years of Experience:

  •  Required experience of 8 years in Information and Knowledge Management, of which a minimum of 5 years should have been at the Management level
