Major Activities
Performance management - Comply with the QMS(ISO). Planning and monitoring adherence to the standards maintenance program. Maintaining standards checks and performance monitoring, recording, and reporting all exceptions, to ensure all ATSO’s meet the requirements as stipulated in regulations. Monitoring and ensuring all medicals and proficiency assessments are current and in line with CAA regulations. Conducting reviews and incident investigations as required. Performing staff counselling and monitor compliance. Managing discipline in the workplace. Implementing operational procedures. Managing inter-unit relationships thus ensuring effective teamwork. Managing adherence to published procedures. Ensuring decisions are implemented. Conducting audits. (QMS & SA). Coaching peers and subordinates. Assisting with SAR requirements. Optimising the workplace environment. Planning, publishing and monitoring compliance of the shift schedules |
Trained and Qualified ATSO’s - Training and providing OJTI's. Ensuring correct training methodology is used. Compiling and maintaining training documentation. Conducting bi-annual assessment. Correcting and counselling ATSO’s who fail to meet standard
Statistical returns and monthly reports - Checking and ensuring integrity of landing logs. Monitoring unserviceable log
Efficient air traffic service assistance and support to ATCO and Technical division
Minimum requirements
- Grade12/Matric (with exemption)
· Management Training; Instructors qualification
· CLD or FIS Validation
- ATSO with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
