Applications are invited for the positions of Simulator Support Officers x4 (peromnes grade 12) based at the Aviation Training Academy. The successful applicants will be reporting to the Section Head: Simulator Support. ATNS is seeking candidates to provide simulator support functions to ensure quality delivery of all Air Traffic Services related training to internal and external clients, in accordance with approved regulatory requirements.

• Delivering simulated practical training.
• Providing quality simulator support service in the delivery of ATS practical training.
• Perform invigilation and training support duties.
• Present practical simulator system operator training.
• Setting up simulators in accordance with standard practice.
• Allocating simulators to instructors.
• Issuing flight progress strips and weather information sheets.
• Attending pre-brief and de-brief with ATS Instructors and delegates.
• Flying the exercises according to objectives for the relevant exercises.
• Be adaptable in flying different airspaces and simulators.
• Training ATNS delegates to perform pseudo pilot duties.
• Complying with all OHAS and Safety requirements applicable to the delivery and administration of training interventions.
• Developing and updating sites and scenarios.
• Supporting Course Leader functions as per QMS.
• Performing general administration ad support duties.
