Job description

  •    Strategy and Leadership – Lead conceptualisation, design and implementation of the overall Business Services strategy aligned to the ATNS’ vision, business needs and strategy. Provide strategic vision and executive leadership for the execution of the strategy, critical projects, cross-functional teams, and sustaining initiatives in support of the strategic objective. Facilitate the execution of the strategy by working collaboratively with the other Executive members and ensure that the strategy is communicated and easily understood by all throughout the department. Work with heads of departments to establish goals, objectives, and action plans, which produce expected outcomes to meet the needs of ATNS. Communicates the company’s official stance on its mission to external sources and internally to all employees in the Business Services department. Leads the development and implementation of consistent practices and strategic frameworks across Business Services function as well as the transformation strategy in line with relevant policies legislative framework. Development and implementation of the integrated annual business plan.
  •     Operationalise the Departmental Strategy - Lead conceptualisation, design and implementation of the Department’s operating model considering the business needs, benchmarked global, regional, national ATM concept plans in support of ATNS strategic objectives. Maintain the organization's competitive position and profitability by developing and implementing innovative programs, policies, and procedures. Provide a Business Services thought leadership to ATNS aligned to the overall business strategy.Plan and direct all aspects of the Business Services’ policies, objectives, and initiatives within ATNS. Build business cases for implementing new technologies in partnership with other functions. Drive collaborations with other departments to enable quality products/ services.  Recommending changes to improve efficiency and profitability of operations, including increasing revenues or decreasing costs.
  •     Business Processes and Contracts Management - Drive development of the required business processes aligned to the ATNS business needs and strategy. Identify opportunities to improve business processes and devise plans to implement these changes. Leads and manage contract drafting process and revision of a variety of contracts and SLA’s with service providers.
  •     Security and Facilities Management - Provide a strategic security and facilities management thought leadership to ATNS to enable achievement of the overall business strategy. Develop and implement a proactive maintenance strategy that ensures efficient operations. Lead and manage implementation of the required securities and facilities management policies, procedures, measures and interventions to ensure a secure and well maintained environment within ATNS. Ensure continuous research in the industry to identify trends and new technologies that can be implemented internally to enhance the current security and facilities management policies, processes and procedures. Ensure regular audits of current security measures to confirm their effectiveness and efficacy.
  •   Knowledge Management - Provide a strategic knowledge management thought leadership and drive sharing of learnings and best practices broadly within ATNS to enable achievement of the overall business strategy. Lead development, management, and setting direction of the Knowledge Management Framework and knowledge management team members. Ensure creation, capturing, organizing, and assessing of the required knowledge assets for organisational use. Develop a robust roadmap strategy for implementing knowledge management that builds upon industry best practices and leverages process advancements.   
  •   Governance, Monitoring, Risks and Reporting - Ensure an effective governance framework in the Business Services Department. Ensure compliance to the regulatory framework. Consolidate input from all workstreams within the Department to prepare strategic reports (regular and ad hoc) for the relevant stakeholders. Proactively identify risks across the Business Services function and appropriately and timeously manage/ mitigate them.
  •     Stakeholder Management - Build, maintain and nurture mutually beneficial relationships with all relevant stakeholders. Adapt operational delivery as practically as possible to meet client needs and expectations.
  •      People Management - Ensure the availability of skilled and competent staff in the Business Services function to meet the current and future needs aligned to the departmental and overall business strategies. Manage performance outputs of the team by using the performance management system and taking corrective action promptly and effectively. Ensure mentoring and coaching of staff as required to ensure continuous development and availability of the required at all times
  •    Financial Management - Develop an integrated annual budget for Business Services function

Minimum requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
 
  •     Relevant Master’s degree qualification in Business/ Operations management, or any related field.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

  •     10 year's experience in managing and leading business services functions in a highly complex environment, of which at least 7 years must have been in a senior management level in a service or related environment.
 
  • The incumbent will be based at the ATNS offices currently in Bruma. The appointment is made on a 5-year fixed term contract basis. Applicants will be subjected to credibility assessment, psychometric assessment and security clearance.
