Job description

  • Monthly management and updating of marketing budget plans.
  • Develop overall yearly marketing plan and budget with the marketing team.
  • Oversee the development and provision of all marketing material.
  • Make effective use of quantitative and qualitative market data and business intelligence to develop marketing plans, campaigns and tactical plans and initiatives.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Proactively support of the sales team including articulation of campaign and tactical plans and effective use of marketing material. 
  • Develop and implement strategies, tactical plans and marketing communications in accordance with Business strategies in both the Regulated and Un-regulated business.
  • Conduct competitor and demand Research for existing products and services
  • Lead, prepare and implement innovative and measurable marketing campaigns and initiatives in line with marketing plans, and track performance and recommend necessary changes to optimize performance of the marketing function.
  • Liaising with media and creative agencies as and when required, compiling advertising briefs in consultation with relevant parties, requesting and sending material to relevant publications, planning and briefing of media schedules.
  • Analyse marketing campaigns to determine if they are successful or require modification.
  • Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and customer trends in order to translate results into actionable.
  • Monitoring key marketing metrics and developing market segmentation models.  
  • Follow up tracking of campaigns. 
  • Results analysis, reporting and recommendations.
  • Integrating user experience feedback in product updates and innovation.
  • Perform profitability analyses as needed.  
  • Develop, implement and manage a robust governance framework for the function.
  • Develop and drive a culture of compliance to the Commercialization and BD policies to enable effective risks management.  
  • Investigate any reported incidents of violation to enhance effectiveness of the processes and mitigate any risks.
  • Work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders across sales, product management and the central marketing team to ensure there is buy in to future marketing campaigns and resources are maximised.
  • Oversee tasks, resources, and internal and external stakeholders to ensure relevant and timeous implementation of initiatives as per the signed off marketing plan.
  • Perform talent management aligned to the HR policies, procedures, and disciplinary code.
  • Drive continuous mentoring and coaching of staff to always ensure their development and availability of the required skills.
  • Ensure the transfer of knowledge to enable sustainability within Marketing from a succession management perspective.

Minimum requirements

Minimum Qualifications
 
  •  Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business Management/ BTech or a close related field.
 
Minimum Experience
 
  •  5-8 years’ experience in a Marketing or advertising environment of which at least 5 years must be at managerial level within a complex environment. 
  •  Knowledge of social media platforms, best practices and website analytics and emerging trends and technologies
  •  Proven track record in execution of complex integrated marketing projects
  •  Strategic thinking with a proven track record in relationship management
  •  Experience in working with external stakeholders.
  •  Experience in working with external suppliers to achieve organisational goals.
  •  Experience in working with professional and technical staff.
  •  Experience in working in a matrix reporting format.
  • Experience in interpreting market trends relating to customers, stakeholders and operating environment.
