Introduction
The purpose of the job is to supervise and coordinate the day-to-day support and maintenance of ATNS buildings, all related satellite buildings, and sites as well as the grounds in the area of responsibility. This is to ensure that a safe and effective working environment that complies with applicable building regulations, such as South African National Standards (SANS) 10400, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) ACT and local bylaws, is maintained for all ATNS building systems.
Job description
• Supervise the day-to-day maintenance activities at all sites in the designated region.
• Supervise staff, vendors and sub-contractors in the execution of their duties in line with the Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Supervise or perform (where minor action is required) routine preventative and corrective maintenance on ATNS buildings (local and remote sites) and related infrastructure in accordance with regulations, ATNS policies and procedures, station instructions, and supplier/service provider recommendations.
• Monitor and attend to maintenance requests and issues logged.
• Develop station-specific operational maintenance plan to address all facility maintenance issues.
• Procure vendor services in collaboration with the Facilities Manager and oversee their performance in respect of building maintenance activities.
• Keep track of facilities vendor contracts to and advise Facilities Manager timeously prior to their expiration
• Provide input into the facilities maintenance budgeting process.
• Monitor expenditure and ensure appropriate spending of funds available without compromising safety and quality
• Assess and report to the Facilities Manager the state of buildings and sites pertaining to their compliance with safety, hygiene, and functionality requirements biannually
• Provide support in the Occupational Health and Safety compliance of buildings, services and equipment as required
• Draft reports on building systems and equipment proactively and as requested
• Draft reports on facilities management operations for the Facilities Manager on a monthly basis or when required

Minimum requirements
· Grade 12 or equivalent
· Valid RSA Driver’s License
· NQF 6 qualification in Facility Management and/or Construction Management is an added advantage
· Registration with the South African Council for Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) will be an advantage
