Introduction
Establish and maintain standards and training, by conducting performance assessments and standard checks, supervise the daily operational duties, service delivery and provision of suitably qualified manpower.
Job description
Major activities
- Complying with the QMS(ISO)
- Planning and monitoring adherence to the standards maintenance program.
- Maintaining standards checks and performance monitoring, recording, and reporting all exceptions, to ensure all ATSO’s meet the requirements as stipulated in regulations.
- Monitoring and ensuring all medicals and proficiency assessments are current and in line with CAA regulations.
- Conducting reviews and incident investigations as required.
- Performing staff counselling and monitor compliance.
- Managing discipline in the work place.
- Implementing operational procedures.
- Managing inter-unit relationships thus ensuring effective teamwork
- Managing adherence to published procedures.
- Ensuring decisions are implemented.
- Conducting audits (QMS & SA)
- Coaching peers and subordinates
- Assisting with SAR requirements
- Optimising the workplace environment
- Efficient air traffic service assistance and support to ATCO and Technical division
- Training and providing OJTI's
- Ensuring correct training methodology is used
- Compiling and maintaining training documentation
- Conducting bi-annual assessments
- Correcting and counselling ATSO’s who fail to meet standards
- Planning, publishing and monitoring compliance of the shift schedules
Minimum requirements
Minimum Qualifications and experience
- A valid ATSO license with Clearance Delivery or FIS
- OJTI Qualification
- 2 years’ ATSO experience
