Job description
• Lead and ensure overall planning and implementation of the Air Traffic Services training programmes to provide meaningful outcomes, regulatory compliance, quality, effectiveness, and financial viability.
• Implement Air Traffic Services training operating model, including governance and service management capabilities.
• Manage and implement the functional strategy post-formulation to ensure achievement of the objectives
• Implement the required Air Traffic Services training operating model considering the client’s needs, benchmarked global, regional, and national ATM concept plans, and supported ATNS strategic objectives.
• Assist ATNS and client organisations in developing their employees' skill sets and productivity by training and developing them on technical subjects, soft skills and the laws surrounding the industry within the scope of air traffic service training.
• Manage the research activities applicable to Air Traffic Services training
• Ensure strict compliance with the client, ATNS, SACAA and the industry’s standards, procedures, and policies relevant to staff training and development.
• Implement the demand and capacity plan for the Air Traffic Services training.
• Network with experts and communities of practice externally to understand current trends and innovations and develop shared insights and priorities for efficient training delivery.
• Approve the Air Traffic Services training needs and training programs.
• Manage the benchmarks that measure the impact and effectiveness of organisational training and development programs.
• Ensure that Air Traffic Services training courses are conducted and completed according to the established training syllabi, curricula, and schedules
•Ensure adherence and compliance by the Air Traffic Services training function to the ATNS and ATA regulatory framework.
• Ensure training of all relevant users on compliance and governance requirements.
• Proactively manage key risks and ensure mitigating actions are well thought through and implemented by the appropriate management level.
• Manage timely compilation and submission of all the required reports (internal and external) to all statutory bodies to ensure compliance.
Minimum requirements
Minimum qualifications:
· Degree/Advanced Diploma in Business Management, Administration or equivalent
· Certification in Aerodrome, Approach or Area rating discipline
· Certification in Training Facilitation
Minimum experience:
· Minimum of five years’ experience in conceptualising, designing, implementing, and overseeing Air Traffic Services training or operations with knowledge and understanding of air traffic control and management.
· Experience in air traffic service training or operations processes, including but not limited to implementing relevant policies and procedures, managing facilitators, etc.
