Introduction
ATNS is seeking candidates to provide quality oversight at the Aviation Training Academy (ATA) informed by ATNS Quality Management Systems, CHE, TETA, SACAA and relevant regulation so that ATA can become a world class aviation training academy that meets customer requirements
Job description
- Continuously monitor the effectiveness of training programs and processes, collecting data to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure that annual proficiency checks on all ATA full time and Guest instructors are done as per the Procedure 017.
- Quality check the newly designed and developed ATA learning programmes to ensure that they satisfy the requirements of relevant legislation and the Council for Higher Education (CHE) accreditation criteria.
- Collect course feedback reports from Client Relations and analyse them to ensure continuous improvement, and come up with recommendations address the gaps identified
- Conduct class inspection visits in line with ATA Quality Management System and ICAO Manual on the Approval of Training Organisation to improve the standard of teaching and learning at the ATA
- Conduct Adhoc Class Inspections as and when required
- Monitor the administration of examination and assessment to ensure that all exam processes are adhered to as per AT005 and the relevant regulations.
- Design and develop quality assurance tools for the approval of newly and updated courses as per Procedure AT002 and AT003.
- Review and develop ATA Policies and procedures on Quality Assurance, including tools, i.e. guidelines (Guidelines for assessors, exam marking, etc)
- Perform regular audits of training programs, instructors, and facilities to verify that they align with regulatory requirements and internal standards. Conduct QMS Internal Audits as per ATA Internal Audit Plan, and ATNS QMS Internal Audit Plan for the Financial year
- Conduct Adhoc QMS Internal Audit or inspection as requested by ATA Management or specific department
- Record corrective actions to resolve non-compliance to ATA policies and procedures
- Compile quality reports for the ATA Quality Council Meetings and ATA Management
- Prepare and deliver presentations to report on quality assurance initiatives and recommendations
- Maintain Quality Records according to ATNS QMS Policies and Procedures
- Disseminate Quality Records according to ATNS Policies and Procedures
- Administer the registration of ATA Instructors as Assessors and Moderators
- Facilitate the initial and renewal of SACAA rating certificates for ATA Instructors.
- Facilitate the internal and external moderation of students’ portfolios with relevant SETAs to enable the certification of students.

Minimum requirements
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Education/ Quality Assurance, Project Management or equivalent
· QMS Qualification will be an added advantage
Minimum Experience
· Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Management System/Integrated Quality Management System.
