Applications are invited for the position of Corporate Travel Manager (Grade 8) based at Bruma. The successful applicants will be reporting to the Chief Business Services.
Job description
Manage - Responsible for developing and reviewing of the Corporate Travel Policy and compliance from all business units. Provide strategies for compliance on travel management. Prepare monthly, quarterly and/or yearly Travel Management Reports. Oversight and management of the Internal Travel Service Provider by ensuring operational efficiency, as well management and control of SLA. Develop, implement, and manage all travel vendor relationships, including affiliates with other ANSP’s and preferred Airlines. Research and provide solutions to travel related problems experienced by ATNS employees. Work with Risk Management on Duty of Care issues, car accidents, and other incidents relating to business travel.
Relationship Management - To provide leadership and manage the commercial relationship with the internal travel service provider. Assist employees to make the best possible travel arrangements by offering advice on destinations, transportation arrangements, hotel accommodations and car rentals. Shall also provide information on customs regulations, required papers (passports, visas and certificates of vaccination), travel advisories, and currency exchange rates. Hold periodical travel workshops and forums with secretaries and travellers to ensure that they are well acquainted with new travel developments. Serve as a link between Internal Travel Service Provider and other ATNS departments (e.g. Procurement, Finance, Marketing, IT etc). Handle all customer service issues and assuring compliance with the corporate travel program and policies.
Control - Analyzing the reports to ascertain the growth and requirement of an internal travel service provider and if needed, employing better work strategies to improve the business aspect of the travel office. Apply industry best practices in respect of achieving cost savings for corporate costs, i.e., research and recommend most cost-effective methodologies of providing a seamless integrated travel services to corporate travellers. Develop, implement, execute, source, negotiate supplier management strategies related to travel to meet objectives in cost, quality, and service levels. Optimally use various automated travel technology tools including travel management reporting tools and self- booking tools.
Financials - Identify savings opportunities and service enhancements, initiate process improvements and deployment of benchmarking-generated best practices. Benchmark, analyze, monitor, and report on travel expenditures and compliance. Regular and seasoned travel incentives – ensure optimal benefits in terms of loyalty points. Provide oversight and reports on corporate travel budget, in order to minimize wasteful expenditure. Provide input into the development of the annual travel budget, in consultation with Finance Reporting.
Minimum requirements
Minimum Qualification:
· A Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a business-related field.
· Diploma in Travel and Tourism will be advantageous.
Minimum Experience:
· At least five years of experience as a Corporate Travel Manager/ Agency management with global experience.
