Job description

Applications are invited for the position of Storeman (Grade 11) at the ATNS Bloemfontein Airport. The successful applicant will be reporting to the Manager: TS FABL.
 
  •  Receiving, inspection and validation of all incoming equipment and components
  •  Dispatching all unserviceable equipment to supplier for repairs
  • Capturing all asset movements within ATNS Ops and Technical centres
  •  Dispatching all required components/spares to the requested units
  •  Managing centrals store LRU’s (Radar, display, Communications and Navigation)
  •  Managing minimum inventory levels required
  •  Housekeeping of the store/warehousing area
  •  Create, design and maintain bin locations and ensure binning of any item within the store
  •  Preparing and submitting reports of all stock counted
  • Creating requisitions on great plains
  • Completing and submitting monthly asset transfer forms to the fixed asset management team
  • Ensure stock delivered correlates with delivery notes/invoices
  • Submit invoices daily to finance department for payment
  •  Raise and track requisition on GP and send supporting documentation to procurement
  • Compile a purchase requests report and update daily
  • File all purchase orders and invoices
  • File copies of waybills, packing slips, transfers and other documents as required
  • Conducting periodical stock counts of all available units within the centres
  • Updating correct stock quantities on the MMS system
  • Pre-Stock take preparation of stores
  • Reporting on stock performance and non-conformance
  • Organize the store ensure that existing inventory is easily & safely accessible and clearly identifiable.
  • Maintaining effective stock control at all times to ensure accurate inventory records
  • Report any out of stock or discrepancies.
  • Create and maintain strong working relationships with internal clients and suppliers/vendors
  • Provide precise and timeous feedback to clients
  •  Regular monitoring of supplier payments by finance
  • Regular review of suppliers with procurement
  • Ensure that all goods supplied are accounted for and handed to the responsible person
  • Collect and deliver documents to HO, permit office and suppliers
  • Package goods correctly ready for delivery or collection by courier company.
  • Liaise with freight companies regarding customs documentation/special requirements
  • Support business improvement initiatives
  • Adherence to housekeeping standards, and compliance to OHASA and ATNS's OH&S plan.
  • Create a safe work environment by identifying and managing day to day risks.
  • Ensure that stocks are binned in accordance to the OHSA requirements
  • Achieve 5S status in area of responsibility
  •   Ensure that testing equipment are calibrated accordingly and all calibration certificate file for audit purposes
  •  Ensuring audit readiness through closing out audit findings timeously
  • Adhering to company QMS policies and procedure

Minimum requirements

Minimum Qualifications
 
  • Grade 12
  • Certificate in Supply chain or logistics management will be an advantage
 
Minimum Experience

  •  3 – 5 years’ experience as a storeman
