Introduction
ATNS is seeking a candidate to provide general assistant duties in a safe and expeditious manner, in accordance with the ATNS QMS and values, thus adding value to the continuous provision of service within the Air Traffic Service Unit (ATSU).
Job description

  • Ensure the working environment within the ATSU is maintained up to the required standards, and thus creating a healthy working environment.
  • Oversee the cleaning of the ATSU complex by contracted company and to attention of FALE M: ATS any visible discrepancies or deficiencies.
  • Ensure the appropriate filing and recycling of all used flight progress strips and flight plans used within the ATS complex.
  • Ensure maintenance within the ATSU storeroom.
  • Perform extra cleaning services within the complex when and as necessary.
  • Perform related task of providing staff members and visitors with teas/ coffee/ refreshments at the appropriate times during office hours.
  • Ensure the tea rooms / kitchens with the complex are maintained in an orderly and hygienic manner.
  • Perform postal collection and distribution services to / from the postal box, within the complex and to or from the various customers within the King Shaka international related offices.
  • Distribution of staff documentation to their respective lockers / offices.
  • Manage refreshment supplies.
  • Provide general assistance to both ATCO and Avionics regarding centre functions/ meetings.
  • Comply with OHAS
  • Specific tasks related to unit administration as delegated by M: ATS or Pool Manager from time to time

Minimum requirements

  • Matric.
  • At least one year experience in general assistant functions or a similar environment.
  • Be capable of carrying out the physical aspect of the position.
