Introduction
Air Traffic and Navigation Services State-Owned Company Limited (ATNS SOC Ltd) is proud to invite dynamic and enthusiastic Electrical Engineering students (x6) to apply to be part of the Engineering Learnership Programme at the Aviation Training Academy (ATA) based in Bonaero Park, Johannesburg.
The programme runs for twenty-four (24) months, consisting of training at the ATA and exposure at different ATNS Operational Sites. The programme will commence in January 2023.
Job description
Who Qualifies?
A candidate who:
- Has completed or is about to complete a 3-year National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Light Current) /Bachelor of Engineering Technology Degree (completed or about to be completed) from the University of Technology in any of the following fields:
- Electronic Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Electrical Engineering (Light Current)
- Is a South African Citizen with a valid ID
- Is Computer Literate (MS Office)
- Shows drive to achieve ambitious performance objectives and quality standards
- Is willing to take every opportunity to learn and grow
What happens in the twenty-four (24) months?
The learnership programme will be monitored throughout the twenty-four (24) months period, which includes mentorship and coaching through a logbook.
The twenty-four (24) months programme will be structured as follows:
- Trainees will spend the first three months at the ATA, going through introductory training courses;
- Trainees will be deployed at identified Operational Centers across the country for on-site exposure while continuing with the ATA training for five months; and
- The remaining period will strictly be for on-site exposure at identified Operational Centers.
After the twenty-four (24) months programme, the company may place a candidate permanently in a suitable area having considered available vacancies, opportunities, performance and competence.
