Introduction
Applications are invited for the Senior Manager: IT, Planning and Governance (Grade 6) based at Bruma. The successful applicant will be reporting to the Chief Information Officer.
Job description
- Facilitate adoption and continuous improvement of planning practices and processes within IT and the wider organisation
- Establish and maintain alignment of IT activities, including report submissions, across various governance committees and structures
- Develop project and program delivery plans for maximum value delivery against capex commitments
- Build internal capabilities for project management
- Define or update the IT Governance framework to reflect modern ways of work to enable an agile and innovative IT workforce
- Co-ordinate the creation, review and updating of all IT policies, procedures and standards, involving relevant IT Senior Managers
- Drive policy approval through the appropriate governance structures
- Manage internal and external audit engagements, helping to clarify audit scope and to support the audit process
- Manage the audit findings tracker and drive resolution/closure of findings (through responsible senior managers) within the committed period
- Report on IT GRC issues to relevant structures and forums as required
- Develop the IT risk framework and align to the enterprise risk management framework
- Develop and maintain the IT Risk Register
- Facilitate, through workshops and other appropriate methods, identification of IT risks, controls, response plans in line with approved risk management framework
- Develop, review and update IT Disaster Recovery Plan, supported by IT and business senior managers. Assist in co-ordinating execution of the plan.
- Co-ordinate periodical internal risk assessments in various domains: e.g. application access, AD, network and vulnerability assessments
- Integrate Cyber risk to IT Risk Management practices, processes, procedures and activities
- Maintain constructive and productive stakeholder relations across the business and with external related entities
- Develop and implement a framework for optimal vendor and contract management
- Manage the allocation of duties and the performance of all staff in the team
- Periodically reviews the effectiveness of the ICT service provided.
- Ensure that staff remain suitably trained to achieve the outcomes of their job descriptions in a dynamic IT environment.

Minimum requirements
- Formal Qualifications: B degree in Information Technology
- Certifications: COBIT 5, ITIL, IT Governance
Minimum Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Information Technology.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT management
- Minimum 3 years’ management experience in IT Governance, Risk and Compliance
