Job description
- Define the BI Governance Framework.
- Develop and implement BI and Data Policies, Processes and Procedures for data management.
- Oversee data governance and architecture.
- Define data quality standards to ensure data quality, integrity and efficient processes.
- Define and implement data classification and security to meet NIST compliant obligation.
- Define Data Stewards Committee role, responsibilities, setting milestones and timelines.
- Participate in organizational governance structures.
- Monitor changes in legislation, regulations, initiatives and relevant industry practices, and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
- Develop an integrated BI and Data strategy, and implementation roadmap.
- Develop, monitor and report on the BI and Data implantation plan.
- Perform assessment on all reporting requirements and develop long term strategy for various reporting solutions.
- Establish intuitive reporting methodologies, perform ad-hoc analysis as required to support ATNS strategies and analyse performance.
- Implement Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) - data modelling, data planning, data definitions, data mining and metadata.
- Develop and maintain business data architecture by designing, developing, and modifying data management infrastructure to expedite data analysis and reporting.
- Create business ability to capture, trace, manage and maintain data in terms of accessibility and retrievability
- Manage and customize all ETL processes.
- Provides technical oversight and support for integrating new technology or new initiatives, existing and new reports, dashboards, or other tools.
- Identifies and analyses errors and inconsistencies in the data and provides timely resolutions.
- Analyse complex data and identify requirements for business enhancement.
- Explore the data and discover patterns, meaningful relationships, irregularities and trends and share with the appropriate departments.
- Create a self-service reporting, predictive analysis and context driven insights.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and strategies with AI models, Neural networks, deep learning, virtual reality simulation and cognitive computing.
- Performs ongoing monitoring and refinement of reports.
- Partners with business stakeholders, process specialists, and users to elicit and document business requirements
- Work closely with business stakeholders to define key performance indicators, design dashboards, alerts, analytical tools, metrics and reports.
- Provide training and advocate the use of BI tools Maintain a healthy relationship ad support the Data Stewards Committee.
- Provide analysis on other ANSPs' and identify market trends.
- Manage staff performance through the Performance Management system
- Promote the corporate culture and ethics on an on-going basis within the department
- Assist with mentoring and coaching of staff as necessary.
- Monitor work of the team and ensure effective implementation to achieve all client objectives
Minimum requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Certifications: Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP) will be an advantage
- Minimum Experience
- 7 – 10 years experience in delivering BI solutions and experience using data to drive business decisions.
- 5 years experience as a BI Manager and proven experience in people management.
- 5 years experience in Project Management
